God and the Ironing Board

Description: No Walls Entertainment and the Community of Hope Project present "God and the Ironing Board"

"In the beginning there was man"...and he screwed us!

The human condition is seldom ever simple; for some, just living from day to day is a struggle.

Our three players tell their real life stories in the context of a play.

Our matriarch Carol, having been abducted as a four year-old girl, describes herself as "Uncle Sam's Butch Nun."

For Tim, anything that could go wrong in a gay man's life has. "There must be something in the water," is his mantra.

Growing up in Hissom mental health facility wasn't easy for Steven, who felt pressure from his mother, other patients, and the staff.

"Sometimes religious dogma can't seem to get in sync with the congregation, the world. Some people say 'religion is a mile wide river but only two inches deep.'"
